R. Jeffrey Spindler Founding Principal & CEO
As a Founding Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Land Advisors California, Jeff is responsible for creating and communicating the organization’s vision, strategy, and overall direction. Along with providing leadership to the firm, Jeff is a dominant real estate expert in West Riverside County, bringing his extensive market knowledge and strong relationships to the firm’s clientele. He’s played an integral role in the sale of more than 130,000 residential units for consideration exceeding $5 billion.
Jeff has an extensive 40+-year history in the real estate industry. In 1997, Jeff established Park Place Partners, Inc., along with Co-founding Principals, Brian Carricaburu and Terry Ruckle. In March 2009, Park Place Partners, Inc., California’s largest residential land brokerage and advisory firm, merged platforms with Land Advisors Organization, based in Scottsdale, Arizona and created the California Division of Land Advisors Organization. The combined platform is the only national brokerage and advisory network dedicated to the residential land development industry with offices located across the United States.
Prior to establishing Land Advisors, Jeff began his career at Grubb & Ellis, where he enjoyed an acclaimed 17-year tenure and ranked amongst the top 10% producers. While at Grubb & Ellis, Jeff was involved in over 200 transactions totaling more than $275 million in consideration. He opened Grubb & Ellis’ Inland Empire office and later took a leadership role in the firm’s Newport Beach office where he specialized in the sale of residential subdivisions.
Jeff is a licensed California real estate broker, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach.
Tony Eaton President
Tony brings decades of leadership, real estate brokerage, and finance experience to his role as President of Land Advisors Organization - California Division. He began his career in land brokerage in 2007 and has since been directly responsible for the purchase and sale of more than 9,000 residential lots with total consideration exceeding $750 million. Tony’s primary expertise is in the sale of master planned communities in California, but he has also participated in the sales of residential and commercial land in Nevada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Tony was the Vice President - Land Disposition for The Lewis Group of Companies, one of the nation’s premier developers of master planned communities with 10,500 acres and approximately 42,000 residential lots in California and Nevada. Tony began his career in real estate when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of O’Donnell/Atkins, California’s largest land brokerage firm at the time. Tony previously held positions of increasing responsibility from financial analyst to controller and eventually Chief Financial Officer of various publicly traded and private firms.
Tony graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis with a Bachelor of Science degree and received a commission in the United States Marine Corps in 1988. During his service, Tony spent five years at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in an F/A-18 squadron where he accumulated more than 1,000 hours of flight time in the Hornet. After leaving active duty, Tony returned to school and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School in New York City where he was a member of the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Tony is a licensed California real estate professional.
Katie Spitznagel Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Katie brings 15 years’ experience in the real estate industry to her role as Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer for the California Division. She is responsible for structuring and implementing business operations, financial oversight responsibility for the company including accounting, reporting, budget and planning as well as designing marketing and branding efforts.
Since joining Land Advisors 2011, Katie has played several roles for the firm including Director of Marketing and Director of Operations. Additionally, she assists in the startup and operations of Land Advisors’ complementary businesses.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Katie spent three years as a Marketing Coordinator for Strategic Land Advisors, where she was responsible for providing strategic and creative marketing direction for a land brokerage. She also spent a year at Developers Research focusing on graphic delineation of maps.
Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton. She is a member of the Land Advisors California Board of Directors and a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
F. Brian Carricaburu Founding Principal
As one of the Founding Principals of Land Advisors, Brian has an extensive history in the real estate industry. He provides clients with unparalleled market knowledge and a broad network of industry relationships. He specializes in the sale of residential land and master planned projects in West Riverside County. During Brian’s 20+ year career, he has played an integral role in the sale of more than 130,000 residential units for consideration exceeding $5 billion.
Brian began his career at Grubb & Ellis with the Industrial Land Division. Brian participated in transactions totaling over $50 million, where he leased and/or sold over 1.5 million square feet of industrial product and more than 2,600 acres of land. He later transferred to Grubb & Ellis’ Newport Beach office to specialize in the sale of residential subdivisions.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Finance from the University of California at Riverside, where he was also a member of the baseball team. He is a licensed California real estate professional.
Terry Ruckle Founding Principal
As a Founding Principal of Land Advisors, Terry leads Land Advisors’ elite residential land brokerage team that focuses exclusively on California master planned communities and other real estate portfolio opportunities. Clients benefit from Terry’s extensive experience and unmatched insight.
Terry has played an integral role in the brokerage and advisory of some of the largest residential land transactions in California. In the last 12 months, he has closed over $600 million dollars in total consideration. Terry’s accomplishments are not only known within California, but across the United States; he spearheaded the sale of Lehman Brothers’ western region residential land portfolio, which included 19 assets that represented 37,000 total residential units over 20,000 acres.
Terry’s professionalism and ambition is inherent and has been the driver behind his legendary career, earning him the firm’s prestigious P.A.R.K award in 2011 by his Land Advisors’ colleagues for his professionalism, ambition, knowledge, and respectability. Terry’s exemplary career is one that cannot be duplicated and one that is built from years of dedication to the craft and lifestyle of real estate.
Terry holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a licensed California real estate professional.
Lee Aarons Vice President
Lee Aarons specializes in representing clients seeking residential and mixed-use opportunities in Los Angeles County and Orange County. He brings over twenty years of experience in high-end residential and land sales with consideration exceeding $1.3 billion.
At the age of 23, Lee joined the high-end residential firm Arlington Residential in his native London, England. He went on to become the firms highest grossing sales person over the next eleven years, selling a billion dollars of high-end residential homes throughout London’s St. John’s Wood, Hampstead, and Regents Park areas.
In 2012, Lee moved to California and joined the Beverly Hills brokerage Hilton and Hyland as Director of Commercial Land and Multifamily. Over the span of 7 years, Lee successfully closed more than $300 million in transactions.
Lee has a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Manchester in England. He is a licensed California real estate professional. Lee spends his spare time enjoying the gym, hot yoga and watching his beloved English soccer team Tottenham Hotspur.
Timothy Barden Senior Vice President
Tim Barden specializes in representing investors, developers and builders seeking residential and mixed-use opportunities in metropolitan Los Angeles County. As a specialist on “in-fill” opportunities, Tim has the knowledge to cater to developers across multiple product types, including traditional housing, institutional apartments, affordable and senior housing, and high density mixed-use projects. Since joining the Land Advisors in 2006, Tim has played an integral role in the sale of more than $1.1 billion in consideration.
Before his tenure at Land Advisors, Tim worked in the Environmental Planning Department of Parsons Brinkerhoff where he was involved in writing Environmental Impact Reports for government infrastructure projects nationwide.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Analysis and Design from the University of California, Irvine. He is a licensed California real estate broker and is on the Board of Directors of HomeAid Los Angeles, a non-profit organization that brings building industry resources to help solve the homelessness crisis in LA County. Tim spends his spare time traveling and being outdoors with his family.
Lara Bauer Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator
Lara brings more than 8 years of marketing and real estate experience to her role as Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator for Land Advisors’ Sacramento Land Team.
Lara’s primary focus is providing marketing and administrative support to a team of real estate professionals to create brand awareness and ensure clear communication. She designs and creates a wide variety of customized, professional-quality marketing materials including maps, demographics, market trends, and brochures for in-house and client presentations.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2016, Lara worked for Marcus & Millichap for four years as a Brokerage Administrator. While at Marcus & Millichap, Lara earned a Certification as an Agent Support Trainer (CAST) and recruited and trained new commercial real estate agents. Additionally, Lara worked at National Technology Leasing Corp. for a year as an Executive Assistant.
Lara studied Mass Media Communications at Sierra College.
Megan Bornstein Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator
Megan specializes in marketing and administrative efforts for Land Advisors' Bay Area Land Team and Northern California Multi-Family Team. She focuses on the organization and completion of marketing materials, including proposals and deliverables, as well as researching and analyzing market trends.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2021, Megan streamlined operational systems and gained invaluable real estate experience at companies like Province West, Brookfield Residential, and Hanley Investment Group.
Megan holds a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and is a licensed California Real Estate professional.
Rachel Buba Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator
Rachel specializes in the marketing and administrative efforts for Land Advisors’ Los Angeles and Central California Land Teams. With over 10 years of marketing and real estate experience, Rachel uses her skills and knowledge to enhance all aspects of her role including researching and analyzing market trends, maintaining marketing metrics as well as the coordination and implementation of marketing materials such as the preparation of proposals and presentations.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2021, Rachel was a marketing and communications associate for a local fund manager specializing in the acquisitions and in-house property management of an 8.6 million square foot portfolio totaling $3.1 billion in consideration. Rachel was responsible for internal and external marketing efforts including, but not limited to, corporate presentations, company websites, 3rd party broker coordination, social media & employee on-boarding.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys watching sports with her family, with soccer being the number one sport in her household. Rachel is also an avid cook and enjoys creating and exploring dishes from all around the world.
Richard Byrd Senior Vice President
Richard has an extensive background in multi-family, single family, and mixed-use infill land sales. Applying his prior experience as a CPA and business analyst with his successful infill residential land practice in Los Angeles, Richard brings unparalleled technical skills and market knowledge to his clients. Since joining Land Advisors in 2005, Richard has played an integral role in the sale of more than $1.1 billion in consideration.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Richard served as a business analyst for Vulcan Materials Company and a Certified Public Accountant in public practice.
Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Alabama, and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a licensed California real estate broker, a licensed Certified Public Accountant, serves on the Board of Directors for Pasadena Forward, a non-profit organization. Richard spends his spare time with his wife and two daughters, as well as cycling, running, swimming and fishing.
Randy Coe Senior Vice President
Randy specializes in representing investors, developers and builders in the acquisition and disposition of land development and investment opportunities. He focuses on residential projects for single family and multi-family developments from urban in-fill sites to larger master planned communities throughout greater Southern California. Randy brings more than 2 decades of experience to the residential marketplace.
Since joining Land Advisors in 2002, Randy has played an integral role in the sale of land approved and/or developed into more than 25,000 residential units for a total consideration of nearly $1 Billion. Randy has earned the title of Top Salesperson multiple times and has consistently been ranked in the top 10% of the firm’s producers since he started at Land Advisors.
Prior to his tenure at Land Advisors, Randy spent 13 years as a commercial and industrial broker with both Grubb & Ellis and Colliers International.
Randy holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Real Estate from California State University, Long Beach. He is a licensed California real estate broker, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), is involved with the Urban Land Institute, and is a member of the Building Industry Association. Randy spends his spare time playing soccer as well as beach volleyball and volunteers regularly at the Orange County Rescue Mission, Second Harvest Food Bank and is also involved with the Kiwanis Club of Huntington Beach.
Ashley Cooke Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator
Ashley brings more than 3 years of marketing and real estate experience to her Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator role. She specializes in the marketing and administrative efforts for Land Advisors’ West Riverside County Team and Washington Team. Her main focus includes preparation of proposals and presentations, as well as researching market trends.
Before joining Land Advisors in 2021, Ashley worked for Colliers international as Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator, responsible for internal and external marketing efforts and deal transactions.
Ashley graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in American Studies with a focus in Education and Digital Media. Ashley enjoys creating music, digital content creation, and DIY fashion & furniture projects in her free time.
Diane Corniuk Accountant
As Accountant for all of Land Advisors companies, Diane is responsible for the upkeep of financial documents, tracking transactions, and maintaining financial accounts.
Diane offers over twenty five years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, sales management, sales compensation, operations management, and technology solutions. The combination of experience in accounting management, tax, real estate, financial business intelligence/reporting, non-profit treasury/finance management, and sales compensation management has been an asset in helping companies establish policies and procedures and offer consulting knowledge in areas of financial management and business process automation.
As a Senior Consultant managing the financial services division for Anax Global Solutions, she is a Certified ProAdvisor in QuickBooks Online and has six years of experience managing QuickBooks as her customer’s accounting and finance department. Her broad and deep experience combined with her advanced education degree has equipped her to help her customers grow their businesses while maintaining excellent customer service.
Diane holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Computer Systems from Eastern Michigan University.
Joy Ding Vice President
Joy specializes in identifying opportunities for residential and mixed-use developments in Southern California with focuses in Los Angeles County. Joy brings years of extensive experience in financial and market analysis, land development, homebuilding operations, and bilingual communication in both the private and public sectors.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Joy was a Director of Land Acquisition at Warmington Residential, where she was responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring both entitled and un-entitled land in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties. Throughout her career, she had also worked at publicly traded K. Hovnanian Homes, Landsea Homes, and Bassenian Lagoni Architects.
Joy holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine with an emphasis on Business Administration and Law, and had also studied at the University of Cambridge in England. Joy is a licensed California real estate professional and a member of the Urban Land Institute and Building Industry Association. Joy currently lives in Orange County.
Kwame Do Associate
Kwame focuses on financial underwriting and market analysis in brokerage engagements for Land Advisors’ Master Planned Community team. Kwame works seamlessly with the team to represent investors, developers, and builders seeking to attain or sell master planned communities throughout California.
In 2013, Kwame interned at Land Advisors where he worked on market and deal analysis with the Los Angeles Urban Infill team. Shortly after his internship, Kwame began working for Goldman Sachs where he assisted with risk management and funding allocation for the equity derivative synthetic product group for over four years.
In 2020, Kwame returned to Land Advisors and joined the Master Planned Community team to provide expertise in all types of residential underwriting. Kwame is responsible for the preparation of complex cash flow analyses for projects including Master Planned Communities, Build to Rent, Multi-Family, and Affordable opportunities. He is also involved in the management and placement of capital for a variety of builders, developers, investors, and land owners.
Kwame attended Occidental College where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Economics and Mathematics. He is a licensed California Real Estate professional and a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Chris Gomez-Ortigoza Vice President
Working with the dynamic and diverse infill and redevelopment prospects of the Los Angeles landscape, Chris focuses on a variety of residential development possibilities from transit oriented developments, cluster housing and small lot subdivisions to traditional single family and condominium projects. Chris brings knowledge and expertise in land acquisitions and the entitlement process to land owners, developers and investors. Since joining Land Advisors Organization in 2010, Chris has played an integral role in the sale of more than $980 million in consideration
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2010, Chris worked in the Retail Development Division at Macerich, and as an Investment Property Coordinator for Sperry Van Ness’ Multi-family group.
Chris holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in City & Regional Planning from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is a licensed California real estate professional, a member of the American Planning Association, and member of the Urban Land Institute. Chris spends his spare time with his wife and kids, running, biking, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee and watching hockey.
Erin Gonzalez Associate
Erin focuses on marketing, market analysis, and sourcing land transactions for Land Advisors’ Special Projects Land Team representing investors, developers, and builders seeking to acquire or sell residential land throughout California. She specializes in researching and analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities for residential development as well as the coordination of marketing initiatives. In 2020, Erin joined Land Advisors as a Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator. In less than a year, as a result of her strong work ethic and passion for residential development, she was promoted to an Associate.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Erin spent two years as a strategic marketing and operations executive with a residential brokerage in Manhattan Beach. There, she was responsible for managing end-to-end business operations and providing strategic marketing direction for a team that sold over $120 million of real estate annually. She also spent a year at The Irvine Company managing a 1,500-unit luxury apartment community. Erin began her real estate career as an operations intern with national homebuilder Taylor Morrison in Southern California.
Erin holds dual bachelor's degrees in Political Science and International Security & Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University. She is a licensed California Real Estate professional and holds a Certificate in Private Debt, Private Equity & Real Estate Investments from Harvard Business School.
Jason Hepp Senior Vice President
Jason specializes in representing investors, developers and builders seeking development and investment opportunities in several areas of California’s Central Valley, including Kern, Tulare, Kings, and Fresno Counties.
Since joining Land Advisors in 2004, Jason has played an integral role in the sale of more $100 million of residential land projects.
Jason has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to joining Land Advisors, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Iberti Group, LLC, a leading consulting firm for the natural stone and custom tile industry.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a licensed California real estate professional and a member of the Building Industry Association.
Eric Higuchi Vice President
Eric leads Land Advisors Organization’s Government Land Services Team. Eric has a broad range of experience including acquisitions, entitlements, and distressed assets. He specializes in Financial Analysis, Strategic Planning, and Disposition Solutions.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Eric was a Vice President for Lehman Brothers. He was directly responsible for the management and disposition of commercial and residential land assets throughout California encompassing over 13,000 acres and 10,000 residential units with a total value of over $250 million. Eric also worked for KB Home in land acquisition for the Southern California Division and as a project manager responsible for the entitlement and development of urban in-fill communities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Eric holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from University of California, Irvine. He is a licensed California real estate professional and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
Mike Hunter Senior Vice President
Mike’s expertise is in brokering and advising on residential land deals within Orange County. He specializes in representing investors, developers and home builders in the acquisition and disposition of residential subdivisions, multi-family developments and master planned communities. Mike is highly experienced in market research, land planning and marketing.
As Land Advisors’ most Senior Vice President, Mike has over 48 years of real estate development and land sales experience. Mike has sold more than $3.5 billion worth of properties, primarily in Southern California, and he has sold thousands of lots within nearly every major master planned community in Orange County.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Mike worked for 13 years as a Principal at O’Donnell/Atkins and 20 years as President of Mike Hunter & Associates. Additionally, Mike has worked for Ponderosa Homes as Director of Land Acquisition, Pardee Homes as Director of Market Research, and Weyerhaeuser Venture Company as Director of Marketing.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Southern California. He is a licensed California real estate broker and a member of the Building Industry Association. Mike was the starting safety for the USC football team, and played in the 1967 Rose Bowl versus Purdue University. Mike also served as an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969. Mike spends his spare time golfing and hanging out with his family.
Doug Jorritsma Senior Vice President
As a leading real estate expert in West San Bernardino County and northern Riverside County, Doug brings his sterling reputation, extensive market knowledge and strong relationships to the firm’s clientele. He has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry and specializes in representing developers, home builders and investors.
Since joining Land Advisors in 1999, Doug has earned the title of “Top Salesperson of the Year” eight times (2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2013 and 2017) and has consistently ranked amongst the top five producers for the firm. Doug has successfully closed more than 30,000 residential lots for consideration exceeding $2 billion.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Doug served as a Senior Associate in the Industrial Properties Division of Grubb & Ellis for 10 years, where he participated in transactions totaling more than $75 million.
Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Honors from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a licensed California real estate professional, member of the Building Industry Association, member of the Board of Trustees for Redlands Christian School and Arrowhead Christian Academy. Doug spends his spare time volunteering with the Blessing Center in Redlands.
Milos Kartalija Market Research Analyst
Milos Kartalija is a Market Research Analyst who supports the marketing department and brokers in discovering land opportunities via land comp sweeps and other market research methods. He also collects market data and other forms of research to be used in marketing deliverables.
Before joining Land Advisors, Milos was an undergraduate at Cornell, where he developed an Honors Thesis focused in treating burn pain with virtual reality. Immediately after college he joined Meyers Research as a Research Analyst Intern and assisted with various market research projects for multiple teams. David Landes Vice President
As a leading real estate expert in San Diego County and Coachella Valley, Dave is actively involved in all aspects of land development, land acquisition as well as production homebuilding. He provides unparalleled market knowledge and a strong background in both development and construction.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2010, Dave worked with O’Donnell/Atkins, running the firm’s San Diego office. During his tenure, David focused on identifying “value-added” opportunities and was directly involved in over 60 transactions valued in excess of $600 million.
Dave has been involved in various aspects of real estate, homebuilding and development. He previously directed the acquisition of retail and multi-family income properties while working for a private investment group in Orange County. Additionally, Dave was heavily involved in developing and building several multi-family projects in Southern Los Angeles County while working for a small real estate development company in Huntington Beach.
Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. While at UC Irvine, he worked with several general contractors on high-end custom homes throughout Southern California. Dave is a licensed California real estate professional.
Bryan Leon Associate
Bryan is responsible for tracking and sourcing government land transactions, in which he and the Government Land Services Team add value by maximizing land values. Bryan has specialized in financial and quantitative analysis and uses these skills to help public agencies make informed decisions.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Bryan was an undergraduate at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where he studied Economics. During his time at UCSD, Bryan was a Financial Analyst at Blockforce Capital where he researched and sourced the best platforms for the firm to trade and store their assets. Bryan was also a part of UCSD’s The Basement, where he was involved in a number of start-ups, two of which are now products on Apple’s App Store.
Bryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. He is currently pursuing his California real estate license and is still a member of The Basement, an incubator and start-up hub at the University of California, San Diego.
Cynthia Lokovic Senior Marketing & Brokerage Manager
Cynthia is responsible for managing, coordinating and implementing marketing materials including preparation of proposals and presentations, researching and analyzing market trends, monitoring and maintaining marketing metrics, and maintaining brand development for Land Advisors California Division and it's complementary businesses.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2015, Cynthia conducted an integrated marketing communications plan for Wells Fargo’s Southern California Region, where she was able to translate marketing research into a marketing proposal which Wells Fargo adapted to target the millennial demographic. Cynthia also worked in the American Language and Culture Institute as a Student Services Coordinator.
Cynthia holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University San Marcos. She also earned her Associates of Arts degree at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a degree in Merchandising and Marketing. Cynthia spends her spare time volunteering for the Orange County’s Parrot Head Club and enjoying craft beers at local breweries.
Ryan Long Senior Vice President
Ryan specializes in the representation of investors, developers and builders transacting business in the Sacramento market.

Steve specializes in representing builders, developers, investors and landowners. He has more than 30 years’ experience and success in the identification, negotiation, and formation of residential land and mixed-use/commercial infill real estate transactions.
Steve employs a creative and responsive focus on potential re-development, re-position, and re-purpose opportunities in the market. Being deeply entrenched and committed to “relationship real estate," has led him to a transactional history that has exceeded $800 million throughout his career at Land Advisors, Grubb & Ellis, and Z Properties Real Estate & Investments.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from California State Polytechnic University. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, and has been a committed Board Member and actively involved in Community Service Organizations & Foundations. As a third generation resident of Southern California, Steve spends his spare time with his family and outdoors - mountain biking, cycling and golfing.
Amy O'Donnell Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator
Amy is responsible for providing marketing and brokerage support to Land Advisors’ Orange County Land Team and Government Land Services Team. With her more than 20 years in commercial real estate from building inspections, leasing, and investment sales to marketing, her experience provides a well-rounded knowledge base for commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Amy worked in the marketing department at Cushman & Wakefield, investment sales at Marcus & Millichap and retail leasing at ICI.
Amy studied Marketing at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In her spare time can be found in her garden, DIYing the many projects that come with historic home ownership, or walking her 4 dogs. She is passionate about dog rescue and serves on the board of S.A.F.E., a resource for foster families, children in the foster system, and acts as a safety net for children aging out of foster care.
Mackey O’Donnell Senior Vice President
Mac is a veteran of the real estate industry with over thirty years of extensive experience throughout the private and public sectors. Mac leads Land Advisors’ elite residential land brokerage team that focuses exclusively on California master planned communities and other real estate portfolio opportunities.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2012, Mac was President and co-founder of O’Donnell/Atkins, California’s largest land brokerage firm, averaging over $1 billion in annual land transactions. Prior to founding O’Donnell/Atkins, Mac served as Director of Land Development for the Warmington Company.
Mac has keen insight into the dynamics of public planning agencies and politics. He served as both a municipal planning director (cities of San Fernando and Banning) and a private planning consultant (Urban Futures). He has applied his expertise in this area to help identify ideal development opportunities. As a private sector planning consultant, Mac became highly skilled in the design and entitlement of real estate projects—optimizing their value in light of every kind of physical, environmental, political and economic constraint.
Mac holds a Master of City Planning degree (MCP) from the University of California, Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Steve Reilly Senior Vice President
Steve specializes in representing homebuilders, developers, investors and landowners in residential land transactions throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. In 2010, Steve opened Land Advisors’ Bay Area office in Danville, CA. Steve is also a part of Land Advisors' Government Land Services Team.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2010, Steve worked at Prudential California Realty for five years and started their Land Services Group. While at Prudential he successfully closed over 20 land transactions.
Prior to his real estate career, Steve played tennis professionally and competed on the ATP Tour. Before that, Steve attended San Jose State University where he studied Electrical Engineering. He is a licensed California real estate professional.
Chris Shiota Vice President
Chris is the leading underwriter within the residential land industry. He is known as a consummate professional with an immense amount of knowledge and experience in private equity and residential development. Chris is a part of Land Advisors’ Special Projects team representing investors, developers, and builders seeking to acquire or sell residential land throughout California.
For over a decade, Chris’ financial expertise has been considered invaluable. He has created a strong track record of successfully managing and underwriting complex residential projects while working with various stakeholders across multiple businesses. Chris has served as a Senior Associate at Trimont Real Estate Advisors and Assistant Vice Principal at Kennedy Wilson/Meyers, LLC. Most recently, he served as the Director of Investment Management at Isles Ranch Partners for almost five years, where he underwrote development and homebuilding opportunities, performing due diligence and asset management over 40 residential investments.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Southern California with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance as well as an emphasis in Investment Finance, which he earned while studying aboard at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Andrew Sinderhoff Vice President
Andrew Sinderhoff specializes in representing investors, developers and home builders in acquisition and disposition of residential land within West Riverside County. Andrew’s primary responsibilities include sourcing new team opportunities, conducting property research, coordinating marketing initiatives, managing client relationships, and guiding the transaction process.
Since joining Land Advisors in 2013, Andrew has played an integral role in the successful transaction of more than 13,000 lots with a transaction value in excess of $500 million.
Prior to joining Land Advisors, Andrew was a Project Manager with MasterCraft Homes Group. He was jointly responsible for numerous projects in Southern California ranging from single-lot infill projects to more than 250 lot single-family detached projects.

Andrew played four years of Varsity Soccer at UCLA and was selected to be a member of the John Wooden Academy, a program focused on building character, leadership and teamwork. During this time, he helped operate Brownfield Management Associates where he assisted clients, including Fortune 100 companies, to reposition and divest environmentally-challenged properties.
Ian earned his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School, where he served as Administrative Editor for the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law and a Dean’s Fellow. He was also a student clinician at both the Land Use Clinic and South Royalton Legal Clinic. He holds a bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Geographic Studies from the University of Chicago, where he played Varsity Soccer. Sara Swenson Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator
Sara brings more than 6 years of marketing and real estate experience to her role as Marketing & Brokerage Coordinator for the Ventura, High Desert, Santa Clarita, Coachella Valley and San Diego teams. Her main focus is on team organization, research and marketing. Sara is responsible for designing customized marketing materials as well as market trend reports for each of her teams’ territories.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in 2021, Sara worked as a retail broker at Upland Real Estate Group, Inc in Minneapolis, MN. She maintained a Minnesota real estate license and specialized in retail tenant representation. Sara was also the Midwest regional captain for the marketing committee of a national retail brokers network.
Sara studied Business Marketing with an emphasis in Real Estate as well as Communications Studies at St. Cloud State University.
Julie Whitney Senior Office Coordinator
Julie brings more than 10 years of experience in customer service and administrative-oriented roles to her position as Senior Office Coordinator. Julie enhances the company’s effectiveness by performing a number of administrative duties, office coordinating tasks, assisting the marketing division, assisting corporate management, and providing information management support.
Prior to joining Land Advisors in Summer 2021, Julie worked as the Executive Administrative Assistant at Brandon Architects in Costa Mesa, California.

Bobby Wuertz Senior Vice President
Bobby Wuertz specializes in the acquisition and sale of agricultural use properties. Bobby comes from a multi-generation farm family in Coolidge, Arizona. He pairs his life-long involvement with agricultural production and his real estate background to close successful land transactions for investors, farm families, and agricultural investment funds.
Prior to Land Advisors, Bobby was a principal in a 4,000-acre farm operation, worked for Arizona Drip Systems, and was involved in a cotton marketing cooperative that represented farmers in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
Bobby is an executive board member of the Pinal 40 Organization, which supports local youth and promotes agriculture education. He is a member of the Ag100 council, a graduate of Project CENTRL, and he graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in agriculture economics. He is a licensed real estate agent in California and Arizona.
Kerry Zimmerman Senior Vice President
Kerry specializes in representing owners, investors, and mixed-use and multi-family developers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to joining Land Advisors, Kerry spent 7 years with the Irvine Company where he was the regional head of acquisitions in charge of growing Irvine Company’s multi-family development pipeline in the Silicon Valley. Kerry has been passionately involved in real estate for 20 years and has also worked as a Vice President of Forward Planning and Acquisitions for multiple homebuilders in the Bay Area, served as Chief Disposition Officer for mixed-use master plan communities throughout Northern California, and is a licensed attorney who has advised clients on real estate transactions and land use.
Kerry has identified, analyzed, and underwritten assets through multiple lenses and understands the nuances that can differentiate each class. He has a deep understanding of planning principals, land use, and entitlement challenges.
