Scottsdale, Ariz. (May 4, 2026) — The Triple Crown completed its fifth year, this time partnering with Make-A-Wish Arizona. The one-day adventure fundraiser, founded by Max Xander, an Advisor with Scottsdale-based Land Advisors Organization, raised just over $14,000 for Make-A-Wish Arizona. With the average wish costing around $10,000, this year’s campaign funded one wish and helped push well into the next.

The April 18, 2026, event started at 6:00 a.m. and ran until roughly 11:00 p.m. across the Phoenix metro. This year’s lineup included hiking Camelback Mountain, mountain biking, shooting, fishing, 18 holes of golf, and go-karts to close out the night. The Triple Crown was originally built around three core sports: skiing, mountain biking, and golf. Those three anchored the event for its first four years. With ski season cut short by an early mountain closure, the 2026 lineup was adjusted.

“The Triple Crown is a sunrise-to-midnight challenge. We mountain bike, fish, shoot, golf, race go-karts, and pack as much as possible into one day,” said Xander. “The day started five years ago with the idea of having the best day ever, and since then we decided we could leverage it into helping to fundraise for important charities. Make-A-Wish Arizona grants wishes for kids facing critical illness, and we’re proud to have helped fund one. We feel excited for the opportunity to continue working with Make-A-Wish Arizona for next year’s Triple Crown.”

The 2026 Triple Crown crew: Max Xander (founder, fifth year), Thaxton Calvetti (four-year veteran), Will Xander, and Tyler “Scooter Jones” Matics.

Every year, Make-A-Wish Arizona has nearly 500 children waiting for their Wish,” said Halah Berglin with Make-A-Wish Arizona. “This number is part of why we are so grateful for community partners like Triple Crown, because this sort of advocacy and support is how we reduce that number each year! Granting wishes is no easy feat, but it would be truly impossible without community support.”

In total, the event has now raised nearly $23,000 for various charities. More information about the annual fundraiser is available at aztriplecrown.com.
