Real Estate Capital Advisory Firm Expands Practice with Metro Phoenix Industry Veteran

January 16, 2014 (Scottsdale, Arizona) – Land Advisors Capital, a Scottsdale-based real estate capital advisory firm, proudly welcomes Jeff Carlson, bringing over 30 years of experience in real estate asset and loan portfolio management, investment and valuation.

Carlson brings a valuable combination of significant loan portfolio management and homebuilding expertise to the firm. As former Managing Partner for ParCap, Jeff was responsible for investment entities that controlled 1,200 finished or platted residential lots, 30 finished homes and 20 commercial acres. A substantial portion of this property has been restored and liquidated to the overwhelming satisfaction of the investors.

He also served as the Division President for Meritage Homes prior to the market downturn. This Division was the Company’s most profitable boasting 1,600 closings in 2006. Previously, Carlson was in charge of land acquisitions for both Meritage and William Lyon Homes. During his tenure at William Lyon, the Division successfully executed notable acquisitions such as Lyons Gate, Cooley Station, Lehi, Hastings Farm, Church Farms, Hurley Ranch, Coldwater and Rancho Mercado.

A 1980 graduate of Indiana University, Carlson received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and continued on as a Certified Public Accountant with the firm now known as KPMG.
