Adam Ochs Joins Land Advisors’ Southern California Multi-Family Team

Land Advisors Organization is pleased to announce that Adam Ochs has joined the firm as Vice President. Ochs will be concentrating on multifamily development opportunities in established and path-of-growth markets throughout Southern California. His multifamily underwriting and development experience add valuable expertise to the company.

“As apartment living becomes increasingly common and preferred for many Californians, multifamily development has spilled beyond urban cores into the vast suburban regions where multifamily development was once unwelcome or unprofitable. This trend is only accelerating as communities throughout Southern California face the realities of keeping housing affordable, reducing homelessness, satisfying state housing mandates and meeting housing demand for the new jobs they are trying to attract. Multifamily housing is the future of residential development in Southern California. With boots already on the ground in the markets where multifamily housing has and will continue to proliferate, I feel that Land Advisors is uniquely positioned to capture this growth and I’m excited to be a part of it,” explains Ochs.

With nearly two decades of land acquisition, development, and construction experience, Ochs has cultivated strong industry relationships by showcasing his ability to find and underwrite development and entitlement opportunities in existing as well as emerging multifamily submarkets. Tony Eaton, President of Land Advisors’ California Division, affirms, “Adam has proven his versatility within our industry time and time again. He has worked for both public and private builders in land acquisition and development roles, and he has worked within the capital markets as well. Land Advisors’ clients will benefit from his ability to find creative entitlement and financing solutions for their projects.”

Prior to joining Land Advisors, Ochs served as Vice President of Development at ReyLenn Properties and was responsible for the Southern California acquisitions of institutional-scale development projects. In addition to land acquisition roles at KB Home, Centex Homes, and Casden Properties, Ochs founded a real estate company that focused on refurbishing and managing distressed assets throughout Southern California during the Great Recession. He is a licensed California real estate broker and holds a California general contractor’s license (B).

Chris Gomez-Ortigoza, Vice President at Land Advisors, concludes, “Adam’s recent experience quarterbacking acquisitions for an apartment developer and previously with homebuilders, give him an invaluable skill set.  My experience in working with Adam in his previous roles has illustrated his ability to efficiently evaluate and underwrite multiple project types.  His understanding of the development process from beginning to end is top notch and he will be a great asset for landowners, developers and builders to rely on.”
