Sun Terra Communities Purchases Starwood Land Ventures Remaining Assets of the High Profile 11,000 Acre Harmony Master Planned Community Project

Scottsdale, AZ (October 2, 2017) – Land Advisors Organization Orlando team of Steve Flanagan and Mike Ripley along with CEO Greg Vogel and Waseem Hamadeh of Scottsdale represented Starwood Land Ventures in the notable transaction of 11,000 acres on Osceola County’s E192 corridor to Sun Terra Communities for an undisclosed price. The Harmony transaction is Osceola County’s largest land sale this year, and Sun Terra’s largest purchase in 2017.

The buyer will take over as master developer of the neo-traditional community Harmony. Established in 2003 as one of Florida’s first environmentally friendly master plans, Harmony incorporates spring-fed and pristine 430 acre Cat Lake and 511 acre Buck Lake; is entitled for 7,200 residential units, 350,000 square feet of commercial, 500,000 square feet of office, 1 million square feet of industrial, and touts a 260 acre, 18-hole championship golf course. The master plan contains 900 sold single family and townhomes with over 2,000 residents in addition to completed developments of 14,000+ square feet of retail, Harmony Community School K-8 and Harmony High School, gas/convenience store, TOHO Utility facility, Harmony Golf Preserve, 2 swim centers, and established parks and trails

Harmony is located on the north side of US 192 in unincorporated Osceola County adjacent to the City of St. Cloud, Florida 38 miles southeast of the Orlando central business district and a 20 minute drive from Medical City, a health and life sciences park anchored by the Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute; Nemours Children’s Hospital, the Veterans Administration Medical Center, the UCF Medical School, the University of Florida Academic and Research Center and the Orlando International Airport within a 25 minute drive.
